Special education provides students with disabilities and learning difficulties specialised instructions designed to meet their unique learning needs, giving them the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential.

The philosophy of special education is that all people have the ability to learn, regardless of their disabilities.

These interventions are designed to help individuals with special needs achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency and success in school and in their community, which may not be available if the student were only given access to a typical classroom.

There are three types of special education interventions:

Preventive Interventions:

It aims to either stops or reduce the existing condition to become a problem in future

Remedial Interventions:

They are used to teach children with disabilities the skills that allow them to function successfully and independently. They may be aimed at academic, social, personal goals.

Compensatory Interventions:

It involves teaching special skills or using special devices to improve functioning.
